Doom Scrolling with Gratitude

Episode Summary

We wrap up our conversation with Jodi Taub, LCSW and member of the PI community, with some practical advice to help you talk with the folks around you and find some gratitude and positivity as the PI community continues to be left behind in the COVID-19 pandemic. Also, shout out to all the caregivers and partners, whatever that looks like for you, friend, family, spouse, pet, or neighbor. You are along for this crazy ride, and we cannot do it without you. So we know you may not always understand what we go through, and it may even be frustrating for you at times, but we are so grateful for you as a community!

Episode Notes

In this episode, we talk about a couple of resources that Colin and Jodi use to practice gratitude, and we want to ensure we link over to those for anyone interested. We do not get anything in return for promoting these, but we wanted to ensure you had the links.

Colin - 5 Minute Journal (https://www.intelligentchange.com) They also have an amazing newsletter that is free and has some great resources and articles.

And for those who may not be aware of what doom scrolling is, here is the definition.

Doomscrolling and doomsurfing are new terms referring to the tendency to continue to surf or scroll through bad news, even though that news is saddening, disheartening, or depressing. Many people are finding themselves reading continuously bad news about COVID-19 without the ability to stop or step back.
